23/07/10 - REVIEW - NEW RELEASE - Katy B & Benga - Katy On A Mission

As far as Dubstep goes, it has mostly been an underground genre, apart from a few Mainstream escapees like Skream's In For The Kill Remix & Rusko's Woo Boost & Alejandro Remix.  That is until now.... Benga & Katy B, both members of the Rinse FM family have broken through to become some of the elite Mainstream Dubstep artists.  Their tune titled "Katy On A Mission" is basically a vocal version of Benga's Instrumental track "Man On A Mission" which on it's own is a certified banger anyway! By adding Katy's sublime vocal to it they have created what I think is a beautiful example of what Dubstep should sound like, sharp snares, heavy sub-low gated bass, raspy sounding synths and a catchy hook that you just can't seem to get out of your head!  So if you are reading this and nodding your head in agreement please support these brillaint UK artists and buy the tune!

13/07/10 - REVIEW - DJRM Tests Novation Dicer

After 2 weeks of owning the brand new Novation Dicers, RM has nothing to say but "Yes!"  These are the best Serato Midi Controllers on the market today, not because of huge functionality and effects etc but because of ease of use, convinience and sheer unique innovation.  "They allow me to control Serato cue points, loops, loop rolls, load tunes to both decks and activate samples without taking my hand away from the action on the deck!" RM Says, and this allows him to scratch, double deck and mix without having to move his concentration over to another item, IE a standard Midi Controller from the past.  These Dicers come highly recommended by DJRM and there is no doubt that most Serato using DJ's will be Diced up very soon!  A demonstration video will soon be online here so make sure you check it out!
